Miss Parkes and our school dog, Daisy, are proud volunteers for Canine Concern, a charity that helps improve people's wellbeing through visits from specially assessed therapy dogs. Daisy spends four days a week in school with Miss Parkes, providing comfort, companionship and emotional support to pupils and staff, helping to create a calm and positive learning environment. In addition to their work in school, Miss Parkes and Daisy visit a local care home once a week, where Daisy brings smiles, comfort and opportunities for conversation to residents.
Canine Concern is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of people in schools, hospitals, care homes and other community settings through the positive impact of friendly, well-trained therapy dogs. Their visits help reduce feelings of loneliness, promote wellbeing and bring joy to people of all ages.
