The school is committed to supporting children and young people with SEN and/or disabilities and works alongside professionals at Access to Education to ensure best outcomes for this group.
Local authorities and other services will now set out a local offer of all services available to support children who are disabled or who have Special Educational Needs.
The local offer will enable families to understand what services they can access and what support they can expect from a range of local agencies.
Our Local Offer explains the support that you will get from Hollywood Primary School if your child has additional needs.
We pride ourselves on our communication with parents and we want to work with you to provide the best possible support for your child.
We will speak with you if we think your child needs extra support.
We will make all of the information that we need to share with you clear and easy to understand.
We will make sure that all necessary staff are aware of your child’s needs and worries.
We will review your child’s progress regularly and you will be invited into school to discuss the outcomes and give your views. Your child will also be able to give their views.
We have a SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) who you can contact to discuss any questions or concerns.
We will provide good quality first teaching for your child with clear differentiation.
We are appropriately trained so we have the knowledge and confidence to support individual children’s needs.
We have specific resources to support children with academic, physical, social and behavioural needs.
